      Designed in accordance with the standards of electromagnetic compatibility and relay protection, it has strong anti-interference ability, continuous and comprehensive self-test function to have judgements through overcurrent and arc dual modes, which is easy for installation and use.

      PRODUCT OVERVIEW

      The arc light protection system protects the operators from injury and reduces the property damage when an arc fault occurs in a switchgear cabinet. When it occurs, the arc light explodes at 300m/s, destroying anything in its path. As long as there is an uninterrupted power in the system, the arc light will always exist in the system. To minimize the hazards of arclight, we need a safe, fast and effective arc light protection system.

      KLD-AP series arc protection system can quickly detect arc faults and trip the circuit breakers. In order to ensure the reliability of the system, the arc protection system needs to meet two criterions to take actions: arc light and overcurrent. The system will send a trip command signal when it detects both arc light and current increments; and the system will send an alarm signal, not a trip command signal when it only detects arc light or current increments.

      Double criterion ensures the reliability of the action taken by the whole set of equippment, and the output trip signal is fast (<1ms)that can cross all other protection and delay, which is of great significance. The response time is calculated in milliseconds.

      DOUBLE CRITERION

      Breaking through the principle of conventional protection, it adopts two non-associated parameters (electric quantity and non electric quantity) of arc light and current as the criterion, which has a lower malfunction probability and higher reliability than other protection.

      MODULAR COMBINATION

      KLD-AP series arc light protection system can improve the performance for the whole system by adding current unit, arc light unit and other modular components. It can meet different protection needs of users and accommodate 256 monitoring points.

      ●    Main control system

      The core component of the arc light protection system is used to manage and control the whole arc light protection system. It can protect the switchgear when only arc light occurs, transfer the alarm information to the upper computer, and perform the monitoring and management functions.

      ●    Current unit

      It is used to detect the overcurrent signal of the power inlet cabinet to ensure the operability of the tripping logic of the arc-light protection system under different operating conditions.

      ●    Arc light unit

      The main control system can expand the detection points by connecting the arc light unit externally.

      ●    Arc light detection unit

      A passive arc-light detection unit dedicated to busbar protection is a light-sensing component for arc detection.

      SYSTEM WIRING DIAGRAM

      The main control system needs to be paired with the current unit and the arc light unit to protect the busbar from arc light.

      The main control system and the arc light unit detect the arc light situation in different areas respectively. At the same time, the current unit collects the current signal, the arc light unit detects the arc light signal and transmits the signal to the main control system through optical fiber, so as to protect the busbar from arc light.
